Konanki was a small village about 100km West of Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) and 60km North of Chilakaluripet (place of the parrots). I visited the village to stay with my friend GRC Nagaraju. I met him when teaching on the Biotechnology course in Sri Venkateshwara University and we remained friends as he was working for his PhD. I stayed four nights during Pongal festival. His family were farmers. |
